CBD Tonic Water Launched By BumbleZest Drinks

16th August 2019

The growing CBD industry has been compared to the UK’s craft beer industry. But we prefer to compare it to the artisan gin boom. And as if by magic, BumbleZest Drinks have released the perfect accompaniment to Britain’s favourite spirit – CBD tonic water.

BumbleZest Drinks has brought to the market another (we are going to be spoilt for choice before long) CBD-infused drink. Their CBD tonic water becomes the latest to join their all-natural, vegetarian drinks collection.

The tonic water is produced using natural quinine – the story goes that before tonic water became a refreshing drink in its own right, stronger versions of the beverage were used as medicines to treat malaria… However, tonic water today contains much lower concentrations of the medical substance.

The brewers also use ginger, cinnamon, lemon juice, and maple, alongside a 5mg dose of CBD in each 200ml bottle. The drink is also low in sugar and calories. BumbleZest also produces a CBD ginger and turmeric drink, with 2.5mg or full-spectrum CBD per 250ml can.

BumbleZest is a healthy drinks company that was started in a kitchen in Battersea. The founder of the company, Daniel Watson started after experiencing symptoms of stress at his previous job. After developing healthy drinks for himself, using the herbs in his garden, Daniel decided to share his creations with the rest of the UK.

He says:

“I started drinking lemon water with a drop of honey, often mixing it with different herbs I grow in my tiny Battersea garden. I wanted to start sourcing other incredible ingredients, so I packed in my day job to launch BumbleZest.”

Daniel and his wife, and now co-worker, Emily, use all-natural ingredients, scrap hidden sugars, and add just a dash of honey or maple for a healthier sweetness. All of BumbleZest’s drinks are low calorie, low sugar and completely vegetarian.

Bottles of BumbleZest’s CBD tonic water are available in 12 packs, which retail at £24.95.
