Health and wellness company Satipharm has announced the launch of its new CBD range, with the release of two new products. Satipharm Advanced CBD products come in two options – ‘Active’ and ‘Focus’ – with targeted vitamins to provide additional benefits.
Both products contain CBD microbeads, powered by Satipharm’s patented Gelpell ® technology. This process protects the cannabinoids by placing them in ‘microspheres’, and has been proven to increase the bioavailability of CBD. In addition, clinical studies revealed that a Satipharm 10mg CBD capsule was equivalent to taking a 35mg dose of CBD oil.
What is Bioavailability?
When CBD is taken, it often has to pass a number of barriers before it is absorbed into your system. This leads to a percentage of the molecules being lost in the journey, so only a fraction tends to be utilised. This is known as bioavailability.
When CBS is taken orally – such as in the form of a pill or capsule – it has to pass through the stomach and is then filtered by the liver. Often, this dramatically affects the bioavailability of the product. However, Satipharm’s Gelpell ® technology allows the pill to bypass some of this breakdown and allows the capsule to reach the small intestine where it is more effectively absorbed.
Satipharm Advanced CBD Range
Active
In addition to Satipharm’s patented microbeads (10mg dose), the company’s Advanced Active capsules contain Vitamins A, D, K, and E. These vitamins were chosen to complement the potential of CBD on muscles, skin, bones, and vision.
Further, each capsule contains 200% of the daily recommended dose of Vitamin D, which is essential immune system function. Vitamin D is vital in the production of antimicrobial proteins that kill viruses and bacteria.
Focus
Each ‘Focus’ CBD capsule contains a 10mg dose of the cannabinoid, as well as a selection of B Vitamins. This variation is designed to support mental performance, physiological function, and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
B Vitamins are needed for the production of neurotransmitters that regulate emotions, including serotonin and dopamine. Vitamin B6 also contributes to normal immune function.
