CBD skincare only seems to be growing in popularity, with highstreet drugstores and beauty retailers, supermarkets, and even A-list celebrities lining up to endorse the ingredient. This week alone has seen the announcements of multiple CBD and Hemp-infused skincare ranges – and CBD serums seem to be the new product of the moment.
Let’s take a look at the most influential CBD serums currently preparing for launch…
Superdrug’s Me+ CBD oil Boost Serum
Superdrug’s new own-brand skincare range is getting set to launch later this month. The collection includes eight new products, each containing a key ingredient to target specific problem areas.
Alongside ‘hot’ skincare products such as Hyaluronic Acid and Acacia, Superdrug has opted to include a CBD-infused serum. The product is designed to prevent dryness, and help to calm and nourish the skin.
Superdrug’s Me+ CBD oil Boost Serum will retail at £9.99/30ml and is set to be available in-store on 25th September.
HORA X POOSH Hyaluronic Halo + CBD Serum
Following the launch of her lifestyle brand. POOSH, Kourtney Kardashian has taken her first step into the beauty and skincare industry, with a collaboration with HORA. HORA is a skincare brand that currently combines CBD with a variety of natural ingredients to aid skin health. (Super Serum and Overnight Exfoliating Mask).
The collaboration with Kardashian has seen the continuation of this CBD theme, alongside the popular skincare ingredient – Hyaluronic Acid. HORA X POOSH’s Hyaluronic Acid + CBD Serum is being touted as effective at enhancing the texture and complexion of the skin.
Kardashian’s first venture into skincare is set to launch on 12th September, on HORA‘s website and the POOSH Marketplace. The product will retail at $50.
Lessonia’s HEMP Skincare Range
Finally, French company Lessonia has recently extended its skincare portfolio with a range of products infused with Hemp and CBD oils, for both the face and the body. The products have been designed to relax and soothe, with CBD being optional, (some products contain Hemp oil as opposed to the more concentrated CBD extract).
Face products in the range include a Hemp Moisturiser Cream (5mg CBD/50ml); Hemp Serum (10mg CBD/100ml); Hemp Peel-off; and Hemp Protective Fluid (5mg CBD/50ml).
Body products in the range are Hemp Body Balm (10mg CBD/100ml); Hemp Dry Oil (10mg CBD/100ml); and Hemp Exfoliator.
Lessonia has also designed a Hemp sheet mask, made from 30% Hemp fibre.
CBD is thought to have a number of benefits for your skin, as it can interact with the Endocannabinoid system through your skin. It is also high in fatty acids and vitamins which can benefit skin health.
The Cannabis derivative has been found to have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. These properties give it the potential to prevent and soothe breakouts, as well as reduce the signs of aging.
