UK CBD Brand, Vitality CBD, has announced a deal to stock its products in Tesco stores. The high quality, organic CBD products will be available in 378 Tesco pharmacy stores.
The announcement comes just two weeks after Vitality widened its distribution operation to Boots stores across the country. There are now over 1900 stores in the UK stocking the company’s products, reasserting Vitality as the fastest-growing CBD company in the country.
With an estimated 1.3 million regular users of CBD (and a potential market of 6 million) according to the CMC, big retailers like Tesco and Boots are helping to cement the Cannabis-derivative as a serious health supplement.
The products that will be sold through the 378 Tesco pharmacy stores include Vitality’s CBD sprays and balms. THC-free CBD spray has become Vitality’s flagship product, with its data suggesting that the use of sublingual sprays is outgrowing the traditional dropper products.
Vitality feels that the high quality of their products, which come with lab certification, helps to set them apart from the competition.
Vitality CBD’s Commercial Director, Phil Glyn, said:
“Our concise educational material and the online availability of our third-party lab reports ensures consumers and staff alike are more informed about the world of CBD.”
Amid concern over the legitimacy of CBD product contents, Vitality CBD aims to educate the public about the product. Acquiring laboratory certification helps to give customers confidence in the products they purchase.
The Centre for Medicinal Cannabis recently found that some CBD oils had made false claims concerning their contents. Of 30 oils tested by the members’ body, almost half were found to be labeled incorrectly – with one oil containing 0% CBD.
This week, the members’ body announced a partnership with a regulatory body. A proposal for industry regulations has since been released, aiming to ensure that CMC member CBD companies adhere to quality standards.
