As CBD becomes a more mainstream product, both nutrition, beauty and health companies lining up to launch new CBD-infused ranges. The number of celebrities speaking out and endorsing the potential benefits of CBD and cannabis is also going through the roof – and some of them might surprise you.
Sir Patrick Stewart
Stewart revealed in 2017 that he uses cannabis medicinally, in the form of oils and sprays, to treat his severe arthritis. He has since also come out in support of the UK exploring the benefits of cannabis-based medications, with an initiative being led by Oxford University.
It may not come as a surprise that Seth Rogen has a passion for the cannabis product. However, his strong belief in the product’s effects on Alzheimer’s disease has prompted him to begin a not-for-profit organisation, and even speak out in Congress about the issue.
Kim Kardashian West
Possibly the most influential person on this list, Kim Kardashian has recently voiced her passion for CBD. The reality star even threw a CBD-themed baby shower. Among the festivities, there was a CBD-themed bar, where guests could create their own CBD-infused oils, bath salts and creams.
Whoopi Goldberg is a well-known advocate for cannabis products, having vaped cannabis for years to treat pain and glaucoma. Goldberg recently ventured into the CBD market in 2016 with Maya Elisabeth to produce a range of accessible products, aimed at providing relief from menstrual cramps.
Morgan Freeman is a celebrity beloved by all, but many people may not know about his advocacy for the legalisation of marijuana in the US. After being involved in a severe car accident in 2008, Freeman was left suffering long-term chronic pain in his left shoulder and arm. Since the accident, Freeman has medicated with CBD and Cannabis in general.
While suffering from anxiety throughout his acting career, Hanks reportedly tried several pills to ease the problem. However, he swears that nothing has been as effective as CBD in battling his anxiety, as well as other problems, like arthritis and minor aches & pains. Hanks has also worked with Cornell University to look into the effects of CBD on Type 2 Diabetes.

After being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1991, Fox has used CBD to help treat the illness. His foundation, the Michael J. Fox foundation has studied deeply the effects of CBD and marijuana against Parkinson’s.
