NatureCan Protein Powder: A Canex Review

16th November 2020

When you are looking for your post-work-out protein powder, it’s sometimes difficult to know where to start. With so many products on the market, it’s easy to get confused by which one is going to be the best for you and your goals. Choosing the right product for you can be dependent on a range of factors: taste, nutrition, protein content, quality ingredients, product certifications, and costs.

NATURECAN have created a CBD infused whey protein powder. Unlike other whey protein powders, the added CBD could help you with muscle pain and recovery, getting you back into the gym feeling stronger, helping you to up your game and achieve your goals.

After trying a range of protein powders, I have become a little fussy with which brands I do and don’t like, this product is definitely up there as one of my favourites. NATURECAN’s whey protein powders mix extremely well with no unsightly lumps, they taste delicious and believe it or not, they don’t leave that bitter CBD aftertaste many CBD products can.

NATURECAN have two whey protein flavours, Dark Chocolate and Vanilla Cream. Each product contains a 25g scoop inside which counts as one serving (each pack contains 20 servings). The packaging states one 25g scoop can be mixed with 200ml of water and shaken well. Or if you are like me, you can add them to your smoothies.

Dark Chocolate Flavour

This flavour is absolutely delicious. It really does taste just like a luxury chocolate milkshake. This product contains 18g of protein and 25mg of CBD per 25g serving. The product mixes well with 200ml of water, leaving you with a smooth tasty shake but my personal preference was to blend it together with a banana, oat milk, and ice.

Vanilla Cream Flavour

The Canex team has decided the vanilla cream tastes just like ice cream. This product contains 20g of protein and 25mg of CBD per 25g serving. This product mixes well with water leaving you with a smooth tasty shake. This flavour is a little more versatile and can be mixed with a variety of ingredients, we added cashew milk and bananas to make a smoothie that tastes like smooth vanilla ice cream, we also added strawberries and raspberries to make a delicious fruity shake. I found the vanilla slightly more versatile so for this, it was our personal favourite.

Both products are GMO Free, contain zero THC, and are vegetarian friendly. They are made with 100% natural ingredients, really high in protein, and have a low sugar content. Both products can be quite thick – but you can choose how thick you want your shake by adding or reducing the amount of water you use with each drink.

The only downside for us, avid protein powder users, was the price point. At just under £40 for 20 servings, it’s almost double in price compared to our usual protein powder BUT in saying that, NATURECAN does contain a decent amount of high spectrum CBD for fighting those Doms.
